NOTES FOR THE MEET
Mountaire is a 25 meter pool, so I wanted everyone to be aware, as times will appear slower since the pool is slightly longer. The times in the heat sheets that the coaches have will be adjusted, so we will still know if the swimmers are going best times. See me after your child’s race if you would like to compare times!
TEAM PICTURES
Team pictures are this Thursday, 6/14, at 5PM at Princeton Square, and we will have practice after. Practice will start a little later than normal, but we will still run all 3 practices for those that are staying for practice. We will do a team picture and also individual pictures for those that would like individual pictures. Please wear your team t-shirt and swim suit.
VOLUNTEERS
We are currently short only a few volunteers for the meet on Tuesday, specifically timers. If you can help, please go to the website (mtps.swimtopia.com), click on “calendar” and then “job signup”. We really can’t run a meet without a lot of parents to help out. Thanks!
ASA CHAMPIONSHIPS
We will attend the ASA Championship Meet again this year (where we won a trophy 2 of the past 3 years!). Here is how it works...to swim in the meet, it is $20 per swimmer (a great deal to get to swim at the Olympic pool at Georgia Tech!). Swimmers get to swim in 2 individual events and 2 relays (just like a normal meet). Our divisional championship (all the teams in our "region") is on Thursday, June 28, from 9AM-1PM. The top 10 relays and the top 40 individuals (10&under) and the top 30 (11&up) in each event make it to the Championship Final, which is on Saturday, June 30, 11-2 for 10&unders and 4-7:30 for 11&ups. I'm hoping we have a large group go like we did the last 3 years! We had 68 attend last year, and I'd love to have even more! I need your form (attached) and $20 by Wednesday, June 20 if you are going to attend the meet. For those that want to participate in the state qualifying meet, we will use the divisional championship on Thursday, June 28, as the state qualifying meet. The state meet is later in July, and the Sandy Springs team will have practice somewhere in the area leading up to the meet.
Some of you already paid for this with your registration and are listed below. I will just need your form by June 20.

TEAM PARTY
I wanted to make sure everyone has the date on their calendar. The team party is June 28 (night of the championship meet). More details to come, but put it on your calendars now!
Thanks!
Coach Julie
