CONTINUING TO SWIM
If you are interested in continuing to swim during the year, which I know a few of you have already asked about, there are a few clubs in the area. There are 2 that have a little less intense program for people just starting, info below. These clubs also have more advanced groups that require more commitment, but there are lower groups that only practice a couple times a week.

CHAMPIONSHIP MEET RESULTS-SATURDAY
We had a small group come back on Saturday as many that would have made it were on vacation (totally fine, I would rather you come Thursday than not at all!). But this small group was mighty! The top 10 relays from all 6 divisional sessions and the top 40 (10&u) and 30 (11&up) individuals make it back. It is very difficult to get back to finals with the number of fast swimmers at this meet. We ended up finishing 39th out of 111 teams! Here is how everyone did! And there are pictures on the Wavemakers Facebook group...if you aren't a member, join!
10&under session:
9-10 girls relays both finished in 8th! Kate L, Maggie, Abby, Hailey- all girls went best times or right at their best times in these relays! Hailey dropped 5 seconds in her 25 back split!
Abby came in 2nd in the 50 free and 3rd in the 100 IM! Both best times!
These 4 girls got us 100 points and into 30th place!
11&up session:
We didn't have any relays make it back (13-14 girls were 1st alternates), but we had 4 individuals that kept us ranked in the 30s! Here is how they did:
Saena Cox- 23rd in 50 breast-bettered her time from Thursday!
Leo Roden- 6th in 100 free and 8th in 50 fly- both lifetime best times! Top 13 year old in both events!
Sydney Smith- 3rd in 100 IM and 5th in 50 breast- best summer league time in IM and lifetime best in breast!
Kate Zaparaniuk- 24th in 50 free and 22nd in 100 free- right at her best summer league times!
MEDALS/RIBBONS FROM SATURDAY
I have the medals and ribbons from Saturday. I will be at Spalding Woods (900 Spalding Drive) pool every Monday and Wednesday 9-10:30AM starting July 9-July 31 for water polo practice. You can come by any of those dates and pick up your medals/ribbons. I will have them in the car, but I will bring them in to practice if you let me know in advance that you're coming that day. If you need them prior to July 9, let me know and we can arrange a date to meet.
STATE QUALIFIERS
I haven't seen a list yet, but the people in charge should reach out soon. I will keep you updated as I hear anything.
Thanks! And Go Wavemakers!
Coach Julie
