RSVP FOR FIRST MEET
The deadline to RSVP for the first real meet (on 5/28) is this Tuesday. Please RSVP on the website by clicking on "calendar" and then "meet entry". This is only for those who will NOT be at the meet. Thanks!
MORNING VS EVENING PRACTICES
A quick note about practices, morning practices are the ones to come to if at all possible. We have more coaches there, more lanes available, starting blocks/kick boards/flags. If you cannot attend morning practices, please come in the evening, but if you can, please come in the morning. And please be on time! Thanks!
JUNIORS
If your child is a junior, meaning they aren't ready to participate in meets yet, it is highly recommended that you bring them to the practice meet to watch so they can see what a meet is like. Thanks!
TEAM SUITS
If you ordered a team suit, they are in! They will be delivered at practice on Monday!
FACEBOOK GROUP
We have a closed Facebook group that we would love for all to join. Search "wavemakers" and the picture if a team picture in red suits with the coaches in neon shirts.
CHANGE IN CHAMPIONSHIP
The league sent an email out late last night saying that they have to change some of the days/times for the meet at Georgia Tech due to some things happening at Tech, and they were just made aware of it. Our divisional session has been moved to Wednesday, June 26, at 3PM. I have updated the website as well.
VOLUNTEER SIGN-UPS
We are short a few volunteers for the practice meet, especially to run the computer. If you have ever run the computer at a meet or are willing to be trained, please sign up!
The sign-ups are now open for volunteering at meets. Please go to the website, mtps.swimtopia.com, click on "calendar", and then "job entry" to sign up for jobs. Please sign up for something that you feel comfortable with. Thanks!
11&OLDER BUDDY PROGRAM
We are starting a buddy program this year where swimmers 11 and older will be paired with a 6&under. Our hope is that the older kid will bring a treat occasionally (to meets) and be there to help the little one. And they can cheer for each other! If your 11&older kid would like to participate, please let me know. The goal is to have it set up and started for the first real meet (not the practice meet).
RSVP FOR PRACTICE MEET
Here is the list of all swimmers (juniors included) that will NOT be swimming on Tuesday at the practice meet. If there is an error, please email me ASAP. If your child gets sick, let me know as soon as you know! If a junior ends up swimming across the pool on Monday, we can still enter them last minute!

WHAT TO BRING TO A MEET
For the practice meet, swimmers will swim each stroke that they know how to do to get a baseline time. All 10&younger will swim 25s, while 11&up will swim 50s. We should be done by 7-7:30, with 6&under kids finishing between 6 and 6:30.
I recommend bringing multiple towels to a meet, warm clothes (as it can get cool at night), a water bottle, and everything you need to swim. We do have concessions at every meet as well (cash only).
Thanks, and have a great weekend!
Coach Julie
