What a meet last night! We ended up a little short, losing 429-367. They had a lot of FAST swimmers, but we held our own. Lots of things to celebrate...see below!

BUDDY PROGRAM

We are starting the buddy program tomorrow.  All 11&up buddies and 6&unders will meet each other at the end of 6&u practice/start of 11&up practice in the morning.  For those that are out of town or can't be there, we will introduce you as soon as you are there!

INITIAL RSVP FOR TUESDAY 

Here are the swimmers who have said they are NOT swimming (or are juniors) next Tuesday. If your child is not listed and they will NOT be swimming, please go to mtps.swimtopia.com, click on "calendar" and then "meet entry" to add their name. Thanks! If a junior swims across the pool this week, we can enter them, they just have to do it at practice this week.

MEET RESULTS 

We had so many best times last night, which is super impressive given that the pool was longer. The program that I have converts their times, so that's how we can know if they're best times. I have attached the full results (ignore the little x's and j's, they don't mean anything), and I have also attached the results converted to yards so you can see their times how we're used to them. Lots of kids swam things for the first time ever as well! We had 6 kids in the 7-8 age group complete a legal IM!! We also had every kid who was entered in the meet actually swim...no one cried and wouldn't get in!! In the beginning of the season it is normal for some kids to add time as well, so if your child added time, please don't let them stress about it. As we change some things in their strokes, sometimes they get a little slower before they get faster, but then they do get much faster. And with the little little ones, sometimes it just depends on how they're feeling that day! As for communication and attendance, thank you to those that communicated. We did had a couple no shows, so let's try to fix that for Tuesday! 

We had some team records broken, many first place finished, and a ton of huge drops. Below I have details for the biggest "loser", records, and first place finishes.

Our biggest "loser" of the meet was Eli Hallam! Eli dropped 1:43 seconds in his 25 free! Yes, you read that right, almost 2 minutes faster, and just since last week's practice meet! He also dropped 32 seconds in his 25 back! Great job Eli!
