UPDATE TO COVID PROTOCOLS

First, thank you to everyone that followed our requirements of wearing a mask on deck all week this past week. We do ask that you follow our requirements, and we will continue to update things as the CDC comes out with new guidance…but please wait for us to update our policies. With the new guidance from the CDC that came out on Thursday, all vaccinated individuals will no longer be required to wear a mask on deck. We do ask that you make sure to continue social distancing as the majority of our team is too young to be vaccinated. We WILL continue only having 1 parent per 8&under on deck.

PRACTICE REMINDERS

We are still not allowed to drive into the parking lot, please continue to park on the street (on one side). We are also asked to leave our shoes outside the pool area since we have to walk through mud/dirt to get there. If you want to wear shoes on deck, please bring an extra pair. Good news though…all bathrooms are fixed, so you can use any stalls to use the bathroom!

MEET RSVP

If you will miss a meet, you will declare this on the website. Click on the "calendar" tab on the website. For the meet you will miss, click on “meet entry” and it will ask you to declare if you’re swimmer will be there or not. YOU ONLY HAVE TO DO THIS IF YOU WILL MISS THE ENTIRE WEEK. This process is just for those that know in advance. With virtual meets, we have some flexibility, so this would be just if they will miss the ENTIRE week of the “meet”.

MEETS

We are still working out details for our first meet on June 1, but we are thinking that we will have 10&younger swimmers there for a certain time slot and then 11&up after them. Exactly what this looks like with spectators is still a work in progress, but please plan to attend the evening of June 1.

TEAM SUITS

If you missed the fitting and need a suit, here is the link with all info: http://store.swimshop1.com/mark-trailprinceton-square-wave-makers-swimming-c512.aspx

FACEBOOK GROUP

We have a private Facebook group that we would love for all to join. Search "wavemakers" and the picture if a team picture in red suits with the coaches in neon shirts.

11&OLDER BUDDY PROGRAM

We are starting a buddy program this year where swimmers 11 and older will be paired with an 8&under swimmer. Our hope is that the older kid will bring a treat occasionally (to “meets”) and be there to help the little one. And they can cheer for each other! If your 11&older kid would like to participate, please let me know. The goal is to have it set up and started for the beginning of June.

WHAT TO BRING TO PRACTICE

Your child should wear their swim suit (does not have to be the team suit, but should be a suit that is appropriate for swimming laps-not a bikini ;). They should bring a towel, goggles, a swim cap if they like to wear one, and water (especially for the 11&ups).
