Happy Father’s Day to all Wavemaker dads!  Also, I am so sad that this is our last week! I’m definitely not ready for it to end, and I hate that it’s a shorter season this year!

SCHEDULE

Week of June 21

Monday- morning practice at Mark Trail, meet in PM at Redfield (details below)

Tuesday- morning practice at Mark Trail for those attending Ga Tech meet: 10&younger 9-10AM; 11&older 10-11AM

Wednesday- meet at Tech- separate email will be sent today after my coaches meeting (this afternoon)

MEET THIS WEEK

Our meet is MONDAY, June 21. The theme will be Olympics and both teams are participating! Address for Redfield is 1080 Redfield Lane, Dunwoody. They suggest parents bring chairs, as they do not have enough for people to sit in. If you want to sit, bring your own chair! Also, the weather forecast doesn’t look great for this week with the tropical storm, but we will do our best to swim…we swim in the rain, just not if it’s thunder/lightning.

Arrive by 4:45 to be written on prior to warm ups!

TEAM PARTY AND TEAM PICTURES

We will have a team party on June 29, 5:30-7:30PM. We’ll have pizza provided for swimmers and families will be able to pay for pizza in advance (link sent out soon to RSVP and pay). This is when we’ll give out trophies for all and the ribbons from the last meet.

We will have team pictures taken at the party at 5:30. Normally this is done earlier in the season, we apologize for the delay this year. We will take a team shot as well as individual pics for anyone wanting them. You will fill out the order form that day for anything you want to purchase. It takes about a week for them to come in, but we will have options for people to pick them up at Mark Trail once they come in.

ASA CHAMPIONSHIPS

For those that signed up, I will send all details after my required coaches meeting this afternoon.

11&OLDER BUDDY PROGRAM

If you have a buddy, please plan to help them write on their arms and get them to warm-ups for this last meet!

GRADUATING SWIMMERS RECOGNIZED AT MEET

We will recognize our graduating swimmers: Coach Evan and Coach Bradley, as well as the other team’s before the free relays on Monday. Just fyi!

We would like to thank Parent Coordinator Ashely Giordano for all the time and energy she has put into making this year a success for our swim team.
