Meet Results and RSVP

Great job last night! It was a much different meet and much shorter than last week!  Thank you to EVERYONE for pitching in and making the meet run so smoothly.  We ended up winning 448-296!  Lots of results/details below.

PREFERRED EVENTS

I will be asking kids at practice today and tomorrow, but I know I'll miss kids and/or some won't be there.  I would love to know what each swimmer's preferred events to swim are.  Please ask your swimmer(s) and fill out this form.  This doesn't mean that these are the only events they will swim, I will still look at what is best for them and for the team as a whole, but if I can give people the events they like the best, I will!

INITIAL RSVP FOR TUESDAY

Here are the swimmers who have said they are NOT swimming (or are juniors) next Tuesday. If your child is not listed and they will NOT be swimming, please go to mtps.swimtopia.com, click on "calendar" and then "meet entry" to add their name. Thanks! If a junior swims across the pool this week, we can enter them, they just have to do it at practice before Tuesday.

Tessa and Ellis Hartley

Cami Johnson (if she swims the length of the pool prior to the meet, we can enter her)

Alexander Kotroczo (if he swims the length of the pool prior to the meet, we can enter him)

Alexander and Emily Leek

THANK YOU

Huge thanks to Stephanie Linehan for stepping up to take over treasurer!  And huge thanks to Caroline Johnson and Leticia Weidenhamer for stepping up to be a duo for team rep!

MEET RESULTS

I saw so many things again to highlight last night. We again had A LOT of best times and a lot of cheering!  I have attached the full results and you can see their old times and the new time as well. Lots of kids swam things for the first time ever too, so you may see no time listed prior to last night!  Also, it is very normal as we change their strokes for kids to get slower before they get faster (because their thinking about their technique), but in the long run, they will end up much faster!

Big congrats to Joshua Rubin who broke the 11-12 boys breaststroke record last night with a time of 41.10!!!

We had a lot of first place finishers and a ton of huge drops. Below I have details for the biggest "loser" and first place finishes.

For every meet we choose a biggest "loser", meaning the person who drops or "loses" the most time. I had trouble picking this time, so I picked 5.  Emily Leek dropped 15 seconds in 25 breast!  Colin Bondell dropped 14 seconds in 25 back and 7 seconds in 25 free!  James Holder dropped 32 seconds in 25 fly!  Hazel Blackstone dropped 26 seconds in 50 fly!  Sophie Mann dropped 29 seconds in 100 IM!  Great job guys!
