Hi Wavemakers!

I hope you've enjoyed the "cooler" weather this weekend!  I can't believe this is our last week of the season...it really has flown by!  We have no ribbons/donuts practice this week as we'll give everything out at the team party.

Request - can anyone build a trophy case?  I would love to finally get one built at the pool to hold all the trophies that I have in my garage...would be a great display for the team!

INFO FOR MONDAY:

We still need timers, bullpen, and deck managers (organizing the kids pre race).  Please sign up!!

The theme is neon...come in your best neon clothing!  I also bought glow bracelets for all swimmers (the dollar store is a great place for these!), just fyi.

The weather forecast isn't great for Monday, but I'm hoping we can get the meet in.  Even if you think it's thundering, please show up!

Tuesday-morning practice only for those attending Tech - all swimmers 9-10AM

Wednesday-morning practice only for those attending Tech - all swimmers 9-10AM

Thursday- Championships at Tech 9:30 meet start; Team party 6PM (info below)

TEAM PARTY

June 30 is our team party (when give out trophies and team awards) from 6-8PM at Mark Trail. We will have dinner for all swimmers (Slopes BBQ, drinks, cake) paid for by the team. All family members are welcome to eat as well for $5 a person. Please RSVP by going to mtps.swimtopia.com, click on calendar, and RSVP to let us know how many are coming (please include your swimmer in your number). To pay the $5, go to "shop" and click on the team party fee. Please do so by today.

ASA CHAMPIONSHIPS-updated information for all going:

Here is updated info for the meet.  Also, large coolers are not allowed inside, but feel free to send a small cooler with your swimmer.  They aren't sure what concessions will look like, so send snacks and drinks!  All info for the meet is also posted on the league website: https://asa.swimtopia.com/championship

VOLUNTEERS-updated

We need 2 timers (in the boys pool) and 1 runner (will get in lots of steps).  I would like to split this in 2 shifts, and would love to have boys' parents be the timers as you'll get to see them swim since you would be in that pool, but it can be anyone, we just have to have it covered.  Please email me what you can cover (timer or runner and which shift you prefer, 1st or 2nd). 1st shift will be 9am-11:15am, 2nd shift will be 11:15am-meet finish (probably around 1:30)

WARM-UPS-updated

We have warmups at 9AM and are allowed in the building at 8:30AM.  We will all meet outside the aquatic center (750 Ferst Dr, Atlanta) at 8:15 and all go in together.  Please try to be on time as we all need to enter as 1 group (the swimmers at least!).  We have the latest warm ups, which is great for swimming purposes, but bad for parking purposes.  Feel free to arrive earlier (I will be) to get better parking, but you will need to wait outside until we are all together.  I will have my red Wavemakers t-shirt on, so look for me!

MEET INFO-same info as previously emailed

The meet starts at 9:30 with the 6&u free relays and all medley relays, then 6&under free, all free relays, 6&under back, and then the rest of the individual events for 7&up. There will be 2 pools going on at the same time. All girls will be in one pool and all boys will be in the other pool. Parking-same info as previously emailed

Parking will likely be available in the W10 parking deck that is adjacent to the front entrance of the CRC. Parking in that deck will be via PREPAID PARKING ONLY, you cannot pay at arrival. To purchase parking please visit https://gatech.parkmobile.io/events (we are June 30 session 1). Parking costs will be between $12-15. This is the deck attached to the building. For people who did not prepay for parking will have to use W23 lot located at 990 State St.. There may also be limited parking across the street from the CRC and is located at 355 Ferst Drive, Atlanta, GA 30318. Those decks is a short walk to the building from there.
