Read if attending Tech tomorrow!
Hi guys,
Here is all of the info for tomorrow as a reminder. Thanks to everyone who volunteered so far. We are in need of 2 more people...I am begging at this point! I will do the volunteer shifts if needed, but there will be no one to get the kids to their races on time if I am timing/running instead of coaching.
I also put the descriptions/directions of each job at the bottom of the email from the league. I think the formatting may have gotten messed up yesterday, so here it is again. 1st shift will be 9am-11:15am, 2nd shift will be 11:15am-meet finish (probably around 1:30)
Timers 1st shift: Anna Holder and Peggy Christman
Timers 2nd shift: Abby Mann and _____________________
Runner 1st shift: _______________________
Runner 2nd shift: Kacy Homans
WRITING ON KIDS' ARMS
You can go to the league site and click on entry lists to see exactly what each kid is swimming (we are session 3). If you know how to write on your swimmer's arm, feel free to write on it prior to coming (we'll also be able to do it there).

WARM-UPS/ARRIVAL
We have warmups at 9AM and are allowed in the building at 8:30AM. We will all meet outside the aquatic center (750 Ferst Dr, Atlanta) at 8:15 and all go in together. Please try to be on time as we all need to enter as 1 group (the swimmers at least!). We have the latest warm ups, which is great for swimming purposes, but bad for parking purposes. Feel free to arrive earlier (I will be) to get better parking, but you will need to wait outside until we are all together. I will have my red Wavemakers t-shirt on, so look for me!
HEAT SHEETS
They are not selling or giving out heat sheets. They are asking to print your own. If you go to this link, feel free to print the session 3 heat sheet if you would like one. It's a lot of pages, but I just print the pages that had the swimmers on them (not the ads). There is a girls' section and a boys' section since they're in 2 separate pools.

CONCESSIONS
Large coolers are not allowed inside, but feel free to send a small cooler with your swimmer. They aren't sure what concessions will look like, so send snacks and drinks!
ON DECK/IN STANDS
the only people allowed on deck are coaches, swimmers, and volunteers. Parents are to sit in the stands. Thanks! All info for the meet is also posted on the league website: https://asa.swimtopia.com/championship
MEET INFO
The meet starts at 9:30 with the 6&u free relays and all medley relays, then 6&under free, all free relays, 6&under back, and then the rest of the individual events for 7&up. There will be 2 pools going on at the same time. All girls will be in one pool and all boys will be in the other pool. There is a diagram on the league site if you want to see it: https://asa.swimtopia.com/championship
Parking-note from the league
Parking will likely be available in the W10 parking deck that is adjacent to the front entrance of the CRC. Parking in that deck will be via PREPAID PARKING ONLY, you cannot pay at arrival. To purchase parking please visit https://gatech.parkmobile.io/events (we are June 30 session 1). Parking costs will be between $12-15. This is the deck attached to the building. For people who did not prepay for parking will have to use W23 lot located at 990 State St.. There may also be limited parking across the street from the CRC and is located at 355 Ferst Drive, Atlanta, GA 30318. Those decks is a short walk to the building from there. A map of the area can be found at Georgia Tech General Parking Map and ASA Parking Diagram and Map Please plan accordingly.
Teams, please be advised that barring a miracle, traffic is still bad in Atlanta. Please advise your swimmers and families to build in a little extra time to account for any delays.
JOB DESCRIPTIONS
Timers - Report to the boys' bullpen on the deck near side of the pool (by the boys pool and interior stairs) no later than 30 minutes before the start of your session. You are responsible for serving as backup timers for the timing equipment. 2 people work each lane, one person works the stopwatch. The person works a backup button for the touchpad that they depress at the FINISH of the race, the button will arm automatically at the start of the race. The button pusher also records the stopwatch time on a clipboard (that we will provide) for each race. Any relief timers that will work the second half of the meet for a team should access the deck by going down the back stairwell behind spectator seating. From there, follow the signs down the lower hallway to the collection area just off the deck near the finish end of the pool. If you are a relief timer, please do not use the stairs on the inside of the pool by the scoreboard, that is for swimmers only to go to their races.
Runners - (Report to the timing and scoring room no later than 20 minutes before the start of your session) They will be stationed by the Hy Tek operator and will be responsible for posting results on the deck and upstairs, taking award labels to the awards room, and occasionally getting backup times for the timing operator. Perfect for the person seeking 5 dots on their Fitbit. If you are being relieved by someone from your team during the meet, please return upstairs to your team area and give your deck credential to your relief worker and tell them where to go and what to do.
Thanks!
Julie
