Needed! Results, FAQ's for party

Still needed - 1 timer for tomorrow, 2nd shift (preferably a girl's parent since it's in the girls' pool)

What a fun meet last night! I know I already said that, but to be honest, I didn't think we had a chance at winning with the disparity in team size.  It is a win that everyone should be very proud of as it took every single person to make it happen!

If you swim outside of Wavemakers (year round, clinics, etc.) send me the info for where you go so I can compile a list and pass it on!

In this email:

  • Team party clarification
  • What to bring to Tech tomorrow if you're going
  • Meet results

TEAM PARTY

To answer some questions I've gotten a few times:

  • You can come even if you didn't RSVP.  The RSVP was just to get a head count for food!
  • We will eat first, do awards, and then play in the pool.  All family members welcome to swim!
  • Everyone gets a trophy/award, even juniors that didn't swim in meets

WHAT TO BRING ASA/GA TECH MEET

I would pack a few snacks for your swimmers (and you).  I would also bring 2 towels so that when 1 gets soaked, there is a dry one!

MEET RESULTS

410-384!!!  What a way to end the regular season!  I have attached the results and also a season spreadsheet for each swimmer that shows all times in yards (so you can see how last night's times convert back to yards).  I will send an updated report like this after the Ga Tech meet too.

There were more DQ's than normal because as coaches, we agreed that we wanted the ref to be "by the book" so that we and the kids can learn if they're doing something wrong.

Below I have details for the biggest "loser" and first place finishes.

For every meet we choose a biggest "loser", meaning the person who drops or "loses" the most time. This gets harder and harder as we move through the season, as it's hard to drop a lot of time the faster you get.  Somehow we had A LOT of people drop a lot of time this meet...many swam things for the first time this season. Our biggest losers of this meet are: Jesse Schaudies who dropped 9 sec in 25 free and 1:02 in 25 back!  Jack Schaudies who dropped 45 sec in 25 free and swam backstroke for the 1st time!   And Will Bykat who dropped 21 sec in 100 free and 21 sec in 50 fly!  Great job boys!

Other big "losers" (those who dropped 5 or more seconds) are listed below. Congrats to all! We had 85 best times as well (up almost 20 from last week!), but most were a less than 5 sec drop, haha!
