Thank you, results, what's next?!
Thank you all SO much for a fantastic season! I had so much fun at the meet and then last night at the party, but I definitely feel the 13,000 steps (literally) that the meet and party created, haha. A pedicure is calling my name today! Sorry this email is so long, but I am so proud of this team and how they came together yesterday that I had to say it all!
I can't believe it's over (and that it's almost July!). I will send an email with combined results from Tech once they release that after all sessions have finished. For those trying to qualify for state, I believe the coach and parent running the team will reach out once they know who qualifies.
I normally email out our water polo schedule and pick a game for people to come watch as well as a high school football game. Watch for that early August!

SENIORS
Good luck to Kate, Leo, Ryan, and Matty in their next chapters. We hope to see you back next season to cheer or help whenever you can! Leo and Kate were on the team when I started coaching and were 7...it's been a long time! I'm so proud of all of you! Leo and Ryan are continuing their swimming careers as well: Leo is swimming at Arizona State University and Ryan is swimming at Bentley University!!!

WATER POLO
Anyone 6th grade and older, we would love for you to come try water polo with our team! We practice Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9-10:30 at Spalding Woods Club all of July (starting July 6)...come try it! Current Wavemakers that play/played are: Kate, Leo, Matty, Ben, Thomas, Kara, and Hailey.

CHAMPIONSHIP MEET
It was a crazy day, but what an incredible meet! Thank you to everyone who volunteered: Kacy Homans, Adrienne Margine, Paige Zaparaniuk, Barrett Abernethy, and special shout outs to Kris Gorman for timing the entire meet and Ryan Bell who helped me make sure not 1 swimmer missed a race! Thanks to our 11&ups for stepping in to help with relays as well. The coaches all helped so much! And the 9-10 boys are truly the best at finding whoever it is we are looking for! Full results are attached!
We came in 7th place overall out of 19. Every team that beat us had more swimmers at the meet (we had 42, everyone ahead of us had over 60). We also beat 6 teams that had more swimmers than us!
We had 46 improved times! Lots of 2-3 second drops, which is hard to do when you're already fast! We did have 3 huge drops...we had 3 biggest "losers" of the meet:
Olive Young who dropped 13 seconds in 100 IM! Matthew Sveda who dropped 7 seconds in 100 IM! Kensie Weidenhamer who dropped 7 seconds in 25 breast! Great job guys!

*if you see an x by your name on the full results, that means exhibition. The people trying to qualify for the state team swim "short" free (25 for 10&u and 50 for 11&u) so that the coaches have times for the free relay. It just doesn't count for points at the meet.
