I can't believe this is our last week of swim team...I need summer to slow down!  If you haven't RSVP'd for the team party yet, please do so by Tuesday.  If you missed the deadline to order pictures, she has reopened the window until this coming Friday.  The psych sheet for the meet at Tech is up here, and we are session 2.

SCHEDULE, Week of 6/24

Monday-morning practice at Mark Trail, meet at Riverside (6450 Riverside Drive NW) arrive 4:45PM

Tuesday-morning practice at Mark Trail ONLY for those going to Tech (10 and younger, 9-10; 11&older 10-11)

MEET IS METERS

Riverside is a meters pool.  Times are automatically converted, so you will see different times in the heat sheet as they have been converted to meters.  It will convert them back to yards afterwards and I'll send those out.

NOTE FROM RIVERSIDE

Parking Our parking lot is tight, but we do offer it to the visiting team. Once the parking lot fills up, please park down Old Riverside Drive or Edgewater. Please remind your families to park on one side of the street so as to be respectful to residents. Please also be respectful of reserved spaces. 

Concessions We offer full concessions and accept cash and credit cards. We serve pizza, Chick-fil-A, candy, chips, and more. We will also have a Kona Ice truck where frozen treats will be available for purchase.

POST MEET HANG OUT

We will do Sonic as our last post meet get together.

TEAM PARTY

Our team party is Thursday, June 27. Swimmers eat free, family members eat for $12. Please RSVP on the website (go to calendar and you'll see an RSVP button) for those that will be attending AND eating, including your swimmer(s). If you will not be eating, we still want you there, just don't need numbers for that! For any family members also eating, there is an item on the website under "shop" where you can pay.

NOTE FOR PARENTS-LETICIA AND CAROLINE-skip this part!

We would like to thank Parent Coordinators Leticia and Caroline for all the time and energy they have put into making this year a success for our swim team. Usually the previous parent coordinators collect money for a gift card, but our previous coordinator is no longer on the team, so please venmo me (Julie) or give me cash at practice if you would like to contribute. MEET INFO

The meet starts at 4 with the 6&u free relays and all medley relays, then 6&under free, all free relays, 6&under back, and then the rest of the individual events for 7&up. There will be 2 pools going on at the same time. All girls will be in the pool to the right as you look from the stands and all boys will be in the other pool, closest to the scoreboard. Parking-note from the league

Prepaid parking will be available in the W10 parking deck that is adjacent to the CRC. To park in this deck, you must prebuy a parking pass, you cannot pay at the gate. To prepurchase parking please visit https://gatech.parkmobile.io/events . Parking costs will be between $12-15. Overflow parking for W10 and any day of parking for those who did not prepay is located at the W23 lot at 905 State St. These are relatively short walks from the pool. A map of the area can be found at Georgia Tech General Parking Map and ASA Parking Diagram and Map Please plan accordingly.

Please don’t park anywhere else, unless you want your car ticketed, booted or towed. Due to construction around campus please try to carpool to alleviate congestion. Teams, please be advised that barring a miracle, traffic is still bad in Atlanta. Please advise your swimmers and families to build in a little extra time to account for any delays.

STATE QUALIFYING

For those that are trying to qualify for the Sandy Springs state team (state meet is July 19-20), there could be kids trying to qualify during all sessions Wednesday through Friday. As an FYI, you will see “SP5” before/after all names in the meet that are trying to qualify for state (not just our session, but the whole meet).

CONCESSIONS

Large coolers are not allowed inside, but feel free to send a small cooler with your swimmer. They aren't sure what concessions will look like, so send snacks and drinks!

SPIRIT WEAR

ASA will again partner with Fine Designs Apparel. They will be providing ASA Championship t shirts and a broad line of specially designed items for this year’s big meet.
