Hey Wavemakers!

I have a couple new things to share, 1 is super exciting, and I included the info from the first email I sent as well.  Reminder league fees go up on April 15.

Exciting news from former Wavemaker Sydney Smith, who currently swims for MIT.  Her team competed at the D3 National Championships this past week, and Sydney won the 100 fly!  She was crowned national champion with a time of 53.96!  I attached the picture posted.  For those that know Sydney and her family, make sure to congratulate her!  For those that don't know Sydney, she graduated 2 years ago.  She joined Wavemakers when she was 10, simply because her friends were all on the team, not knowing she had a natural talent for swimming (she didn't know how to dive yet!).  She took to it so quickly, joined a year round team after our season ended, and never looked back.  And now she's a national champion!

Anna Holder put together a flyer (attached) for anyone who is willing/able to solicit any local businesses to be sponsors.  We would love to get new blocks, but we really need more sponsorship money to do so.  Thanks in advance!

TEAM INFO

All of the info for the season is in the attached document (practice times, meet dates, etc.). Our swim suit fitting is the first "event" and it's on April 15 (details in doc).

NEW BLOCKS

We are looking at getting new, nice blocks to use for meets, but they're expensive. We're asking anyone that has any good contacts for sponsors, please reach out to them (and let me know), as we're hoping to get a few bigger sponsors this year to be able to get the blocks.
