Well that was an interesting first meet of the year...coldest I've ever had for a swim meet in my career!  Even with the cold and rain, we had a ton of smiles and lots of kids very excited about their ribbons this morning!  We lost 371-323, and I'm pleased with this score.  They have very good swimmers on their team, and we kept it fairly close which is great!

Here are the swimmers who have said they are NOT swimming (or are juniors) next Tuesday. If your child is not listed and they will NOT be swimming, please go to mtps.swimtopia.com, click on "calendar" and then "meet entry" to add their name by Friday. Thanks! If a junior shows us at practice that they are ready this week, we can enter them, they just have to do it at practice before Tuesday.

MEET RESULTS

We have lots to shout out from last night. Even with the weather, 45% of our swims were improved times! Huge shout out to Tommy Homans for swimming up in the 15-18 age group for his events to help out the team and doing every single individual event! Thank you Tommy!

Big congratulations to Sadie Mann and Jacob Robb for breaking team records! Sadie broke the 13-14 girls 100 free record with a time of 59.06! Jacob broke his own 6&u 25 free record with a time of 18.28!

We had a lot of best times last night! I have attached the full results. Lots of kids swam things for the first time ever as well! As we get faster, it is harder to drop a lot of time at once, but we still had a lot of huge drops (see below).

Below I have details for the biggest "loser" and first place finishes.

For every meet we choose a biggest "loser", meaning the person who drops or "loses" the most time. Our biggest loser this week is Braxton Whitaker who dropped 40 seconds in his 25 free and 11 in 25 back!  Our 2nd biggest loser is Savannah Smeltzer who dropped 29 seconds in her 25 free!  Great job!
