We got our warm-up/arrival time as well as volunteers needed.  Please see below. Thanks!

WARMUP/ARRIVAL

We got a later warm-up time, which is great for swimming, bad for parking. We will all meet outside the aquatic center (750 Ferst Dr, Atlanta) at 2:50 and all go in together, it is really important that you are on time! We'll meet near the sculpture that is outside on the grass. We'll take a group picture all together and then enter the building at the same time. Our swimmers will sit on deck, and we are assigned a bleacher (near the middle of the girls and boys pools).  Parents will sit up in the stands unless volunteering.

VOLUNTEERS

We need 2 timers (in the boys pool) and 1 girls bullpen. I would like to split this in 2 shifts, and would love to have boys' parents be the timers and a girls' parent for the girls bullpen. Please email me what you can cover (timer or bullpen and which shift you prefer, 1st or 2nd). 1st shift will be 3:30-6, 2nd shift will be 6:00-meet finish (probably around 8:30).

Timer - serves as backup to the automatic timing system. 2 timers per lane, 1 person uses stopwatch, 1 person pushes the "finish" button to stop the automatic system.

Bullpen - helps the league officials running the bullpen to seat kids in the correct chairs to line up for their races (it's very organized, you're just there to assist)

MEET INFO

The meet starts at 4 with the 6&u free relays and all medley relays, then 6&under free, all free relays, 6&under back, and then the rest of the individual events for 7&up. There will be 2 pools going on at the same time. All girls will be in the pool to the right as you look from the stands and all boys will be in the other pool, closest to the scoreboard. Parking-note from the league

Prepaid parking will be available in the W10 parking deck that is adjacent to the CRC. To park in this deck, you must prebuy a parking pass, you cannot pay at the gate. To prepurchase parking please visit https://gatech.parkmobile.io/events . Parking costs will be between $12-15. Overflow parking for W10 and any day of parking for those who did not prepay is located at the W23 lot at 905 State St. These are relatively short walks from the pool. A map of the area can be found at Georgia Tech General Parking Map and ASA Parking Diagram and Map Please plan accordingly.

Please don’t park anywhere else, unless you want your car ticketed, booted or towed. Due to construction around campus please try to carpool to alleviate congestion. Teams, please be advised that barring a miracle, traffic is still bad in Atlanta. Please advise your swimmers and families to build in a little extra time to account for any delays.

STATE QUALIFYING

For those that are trying to qualify for the Sandy Springs state team (state meet is July 25-26), there could be kids trying to qualify during all sessions Wednesday through Friday. As an FYI, you will see “SP5” before/after all names in the meet that are trying to qualify for state (not just our session, but the whole meet).

CONCESSIONS

Large coolers are not allowed inside, but feel free to send a small cooler with your swimmer. They aren't sure what concessions will look like, so send snacks and drinks!
