We had a fantastic meet tonight!  I couldn't wait to send this email because I am so excited to share the good news. I'm sorry this is long, but so many great things happened that I want everyone to know about it!

I will send an email with combined results from Tech once they release that after all sessions have finished. For those trying to qualify for state, I believe the coach and parent running the team will reach out once they know who qualifies (I passed on email addresses for all of you).

RECORDS BROKEN

We had 4 records broken yesterday! To see all records, they are on our site, mtps.swimtopia.com, under the "about" tab.

Sam Smeltzer broke the 9-10 boys' 50 free with a time of 33.72!

Sadie Mann broke her own 13-14 girls' 100 free record with a time of 58.12!

Nicolas Bondell broke the boys' 13-14 50 free record with a time of 24.09!

9-10 boys' free relay (Sam, Joe, Fred, Soren) with a time of 1:04.10!

These are in addition to the following 4 that were broken previously this season:

Jacob Robb - 6&u boys' 25 free - 18.13 and 25 back - 24.03

Sadie Mann - 13-14 girls' 50 breast - 31.90 and 50 free - 25.71

MEET RESULTS

It was a crazy day, but what an incredible meet! Thank you to everyone who volunteered: Kacy Homans, Leticia Weidenhamer, Sean Smeltzer, Nora Robb, Bonnie Sidwell, and Raluca Lazar! Thanks to our 11&ups for stepping in to help with relays as well as taking kids to the bullpen.  Our 9-10 boys did a great job taking kids to the bullpen as well.  Full results are attached!

We came in 4th place overall out of 15 teams. Every team that beat us had more than 120 swimmers at the meet (we had 39). We also beat 5 teams that had more swimmers than us, including 2 that had over 60 kids!

We had 38 improved times, which was 43% of our swims! Lots of 2-3 second drops, which is hard to do when you're already fast! We did have 1 big drop...our biggest loser is Kensie Weidenhamer who dropped 7 seconds in her 100 free!

There were about 1,000 swimmers entered in the meet...here are our finishes!

*if you see an x by your name on the full results, that means exhibition. The people trying to qualify for the state team swim can swim 1 extra event for state purposes, but it doesn't count for points at the meet.
