I'm sorry now for how many emails I'll be sending over the next few days, but with the championship meet and team party next week (and a regular meet), there's a lot going on!  THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for communicating when you'll miss a meet!  For the 3rd meet in a row, there were no unexpected missing swimmers, and that makes my job so much easier.  I really appreciate it!

It was a cold and wet one (again) last night, but thank you so much to everyone who stuck it out! I promise summer league swimming is usually much sunnier than this!

Here are the swimmers who have said they are NOT swimming (or are juniors) next Monday. If your child is not listed and they will NOT be swimming, please go to mtps.swimtopia.com, click on "calendar" and then "meet entry" to add their name by Friday. Thanks! If a junior shows us at practice that they are ready this week, we can enter them, they just have to do it at practice before Tuesday.

CHAMPIONSHIP MEET

Here is who I have as going to the meet and also what we would ideally get to also go to make relays. I can extend the deadline to tomorrow, Thursday, but not anymore than that or we'll have to pay late fees (which are insanely expensive). You can email or text your forms as well, I don't need the physical copy.

We won the meet 461-311! Huge shout out to Abby Lee for swimming up in the 15-18s for both relays!  Huge shout out to 3 record breakers as well!  Sadie Mann broke the 13-14 50 fly record with a time of 29.30!  Jacob Robb broke his own 7-8 25 fly record with a time of 20.37!  Sam Smeltzer broke the 9-10 25 free record with a time of 14.19!  Congrats!

I have attached the full results.  The water was very warm, so it's not a surprise that we didn't have quite as many best times, and with the rain as well. I'm so proud of how we swam under any circumstances, but especially with all of that! We still had 38% of our swims be best times!

Below I have details for the biggest "loser" and first place finishes.

For every meet we choose a biggest "loser", meaning the person who drops or "loses" the most time. Our biggest loser this week is Danylo Pushkar who dropped 6 seconds in his 25 free and 1:05 in his 25 back!  Great job!
