Great win last night! The final score was Wavemakers 474 to Hammerheads 315! With the weather being what it was, we appreciate you all coming out in full force and rolling with the punches. I know it isn’t fun to stand out in the rain, but I appreciate everyone doing it with a smile on their face!

LOST WALLET

Someone on the other team lost a wallet last night. If you picked one up by accident or saw it, please let me know. Thanks!

I have gone through records from 2011 until now (I don't have prior to that), and these are the team records that I found. If you think there is an error, please let me know. We have some kids very close to the records, so please share with them! They are attached.

ASA CHAMPIONSHIP MEET

As a reminder, the meet is next Thursday. Here is the info again, and the form is attached. As of this morning (if everyone who said they are going to do it brings the form/money tomorrow), we have the numbers below. Would love to have enough for everyone to get to swim 2 relays! We're up to 51 if everyone registers who told me they were going to!

Info: The deadline has been extended until this Thursday at noon to turn in your entry form and money for the ASA Championships. The meet is on June 29 and finals are on July 1. You do not have to be able to attend finals to go on the 29th. The entry form is attached again if you need it! We had 62 kids go in 2015 and 48 go last year. So far we are at 51, but I know I've heard from many more who are planning on going, so make sure to get your forms in! They score to 24th place at the meet, so we need everyone who can go to be there if we want to bring another trophy home. Also, I think the state meet is July 21 (10&under) and July 22 (11&up) for those that are figuring out if they want to try to qualify.

INITIAL RSVP FOR MONDAY’S MEET

Please remember that the meet is on Monday next week (not Tuesday) at Riverside. Here is the list of those that have RSVP’d that they will NOT be there. If you will not be there, please RSVP by Thursday. This will be our closest meet of the year, so we would really like to have everyone RSVP on time to make sure we can put the best line up together possible. Thanks!

MEET RESULTS

We again had all hands on deck to get this meet run smoothly…thank you! It really takes a village. We had kids step up last second to swim in a relay in older age groups than their own when others didn’t show up, and they did it with smiles even though they were nervous. I so appreciate everyone’s flexibility! The full results are attached as well.

Our biggest “loser” of the meet was Joaquin Ortiz who dropped 33 seconds in his 25 free! Great job Joaquin! Other big “losers” are listed below, and this is all swimmers who dropped 5+ seconds in one race. We had a ton of kids who went best times in addition to this, but it gets harder and harder to drop 5 seconds in one race the faster you get…it’s amazing that this many are still dropping that much time!
