KIDS FOR KIDS

The Kids for Kids meet is a week from yesterday (Saturday, June 10).  The forms were due Friday, but if you forgot to turn it in and still want to participate, I can get you in if you email me by 2 today (Sunday).  The form is attached for you to fill out and email back to me (or email me the info from it).  Thanks!

 

SCHEDULE

Week of 6/5:

Monday- normal practice (morning and evening)

Tuesday, morning practice and meet at Mark Trail-arrive at 4:30 for warm-ups

Wednesday- Atlanta Swim Academy clinic during practice for 7&older: practice times- 6&under 8:30-9; 7-10 year olds 9-10; 11&older 10-11; evening practice is normal

Thursday- Fun practice in the morning at Mark Trail-10&under is 9-10, 11&up 10-11; team pictures at Princeton Square at 5:15PM; evening practice after pictures-please wear your team suit and t-shirt

Kids for Kids charity meet on Saturday (only for those that signed up)-I'll let you know warm-up time as soon as they assign it

 

Week of 6/12:

normal practice schedule all week

meet on Tuesday at The Branches-arrive at 4:45 for warm-ups

 

CT TAQUERIA

We will be going to CT Taqueria (one of our team sponsors) after each meet this season.  All are welcome to join, and each family orders and pays for their food and drinks.  Hope to see you there!

 

TEAM FACEBOOK PAGE

We have started a team Facebook page to post pictures, etc.  If you have Facebook and would like to join, search "The Wavemakers" and request to join.

ASA CHAMPIONSHIPS

We will attend the ASA Championship Meet again this year (where we won a trophy the past 2 years!).  Here is how it works...to swim in the meet, it is $20 per swimmer (a great deal to get to swim at the Olympic pool at Georgia Tech!).  Swimmers get to swim in 2 individual events and 2 relays (just like a normal meet).  Our divisional championship (all the teams in our "region") is on Thursday, June 29, from 9AM-1PM.  The top 20 relays (new this year) and the top 50 individuals (10&under) and the top 40 (11&up) in each event make it to the Championship Final, which is on Saturday, July 1, 10:30-2 for 10&unders and 4-7:45 for 11&ups.  I'm hoping we have a large group go like we did the last 2 years! We had 48 attend last year, and I'd love to have even more!  I need your form (attached) and $20 by Tuesday, June 20 if you are going to attend the meet.  For those that want to participate in the state qualifying meet, we will use the divisional championship on Thursday, June 29, as the state qualifying meet.
