COACH JULIE'S NUMBER

If you don't have it already, please store my number in your phone: 770-289-6626.

PARENT MEETING

Just a reminder that the parent meeting is this Thursday, 5/18, at 6PM at Mark Trail (while the kids are practicing).  Please make every effort to have at least 1 parent there from your family.

TIME TRIALS

Time trials/Mock Meet are next Tuesday, 5/23.  We need ALL swimmers there by 5:00 for this "practice meet".  We will all warm-up and then begin the meet.  This is a great opportunity for parents to work out any kinks in the volunteer positions and to see how a meet works before the first real meet.  Please have your kids there on time if at all possible.  If you are going to be late or your child gets sick the day of, please email Coach Julie ([email protected]) or call/text her: 770-289-6626.  It is really important to be at this meet as this is what I base my entries on for real meets...especially if your child is new to the team (or is now 11 as I have no times for even the returning kids who are 11 as they now do 50s).  Please watch out for a volunteer request email coming after the parent meeting.

RSVP ON WEBSITE

If you will miss a meet, you will click on the "swim meets" tab on the website.  For the meet you will miss, click on RSVP and then "add swimmer to the list".  If you do so by accident or for the wrong meet, just email me and I can delete it.  This process is just for those that know in advance.  If your child gets sick the day of, please email/text/call me as soon as possible to let me know.

WHO IS MISSING TIME TRIALS

So far, I have Harrison Fogel as not being at the mock meet, but that's it (I know most didn't know to do it yet though!).  If your child will not be there, I need to know by Friday so I can do the correct entries.  Please RSVP on the site for this.

RSVP DEADLINE FOR MEET #1-VS. GAINESBOROUGH (MEET IS ON 5/30)

The deadline to RSVP for each meet is one week prior.  For the first meet, the deadline is Tuesday, 5/23, (the day of time trials).

JUNIORS

Here are the 6&under kids that were registered as juniors, meaning they will not swim in meets yet.  If I have seen your child swim the length of the pool already, I have put a note that I would like to move them to the regular team, so please email me ASAP and let me know if you are okay with this.  If your child doesn't have a note by their name and you feel they are ready to swim the length -of the pool, please see me at practice this week and we will make sure to try!  If your child is not on this list and you feel that they should be, please email me.  We will work this week to update this and hopefully get a few more kids swimming the whole way!  I can add them to the practice meet as late as Friday, so if they swim the whole way this week, their status can still change…and they can touch the lane rope and still swim in meets, just not a coach. 25 YARD BOARD

We are starting a new tradition this week at practice where all 6&unders who swim the whole length of the pool freestyle and/or backstroke, and all 10&younger who swim the whole length breast and/or fly, get to add their name to a white board that we will have at practice every day.  Our hope is that this encourages some of our swimmers to push themselves a little harder to really make it that whole way!
