Hi all,

I hope you have all enjoyed your July!  I can't believe the end of summer is coming so quickly!  With that being said, the tentative dates for 2017 are first meet-May 30 and championship meet June 28-July 1 (we would have 1 of those days for prelims and then finals will be July 1).  I wanted to send this out for your vacation planning! :)

Also, I have attached the North Springs Water Polo schedule as many of you have expressed interest in coming out to watch the team.  Wavemakers who are on the team are: John Cleveland, Kevin Hopper, Ty Klein, Charley Plumly, and James Roden (and former Wavemakers Turner Templeton and Lynch and Max Bickers).

And best for last...we had 5 swimmers compete for the Sandy Springs State Team last Friday and Saturday: Alex Agcaoili, Ryan Fogel, Hunter Reese Giardino, Julia Rutledge, and Natalie Tully.  They each swam in 2 individual events in prelims, with only the top 8 making it back to finals per event.  They all did very well (results below from Meet Mobile...I hope they are accurate!).  Both Natalie (in 25 fly and 100 IM) and Julia (in 25 breast) made it back to finals, which is amazing in itself.  But the big news is that after finishing 7th in prelims in 25 breast, Julia came back to finals and WON!!!  Huge congratulations to all who swam!

Alex- 28th in 50 free and 26th in 50 fly
Ryan- 16th in medley relay, 22nd in 50 free, and 22nd in 50 fly
Hunter Reese- 14th in medley relay, 11th in free relay, 19th in 100IM, and 13th in 25 back
Julia- 14th in medley relay, 11th in free relay, 11th in 100 IM, and 7th in prelims and 1st in finals in 25 breast
Natalie- 19th in free relay, 7th in prelims and 5th in finals in 100 IM, and 6th in prelims and 5th in finals in 25 fly
