Meet results, ASA meet, RSVP
Oh my gosh…what a meet! I am so proud of how everyone did. While we came up short in points, losing 400-388, we really weren’t supposed to even come that close according to the times in the heat sheet. I am so impressed with how everyone stepped up and cheered each other on! More info below!

ASA CHAMPIONSHIP MEET
Tomorrow is the deadline for entering the championship meet that is next Wednesday, June 29, at Georgia Tech. Here are the numbers we have so far in each age group (including the ones that have told me they are turning in forms tomorrow). We had 62 go last year and are at 36 so far this year…would love to at least equal last year’s total. It was such a fun meet last year, and I know it will be again this year.
6&u: girls-4, boys-0 (can anyone go?)
7-8: girls-4, boys-1
9-10: girls-5, boys-3
11-12: girls-4, boys-7
13-14: girls-3, boys-2
15-18: girls-3, boys-0
The form is attached if you need it. Remember, they score to 24th place, so everyone has a chance to help out the team!
NEXT WEEK’S SCHEDULE
With the meet on Monday, we will not have ribbons and donuts on Tuesday as it is our only practice before the championship meet. Only those entered in the ASA meet should come to practice on Tuesday, and the times will be emailed out after entries are finalized. Most likely it will be 9-10 for all 10&unders and 10-11 for all 11&ups. We have the championship meet on Wednesday and the party on Thursday. We will have ribbons from the meet at the party. For those not able to attend the party, I will send an email afterwards with how to pick up your ribbons and anything given out at the party!
TEAM PARTY
We have Mellow Mushroom catering the party this year! Watch for a sign-up genius with all the details coming very soon. We’re just finalizing everything before we send it out!

HANOVER WEST MEET RESULTS
Wow! I can’t put into words how proud I am of how we did last night. Regardless of the outcome, we had some amazing swims. Some that aren’t used to having tight races really got pushed last night and rose to the occasion. We had more best times than ever before this season as well! And every single swimmer that was supposed to be there showed up!! That’s a win in my book!! Let’s try to repeat that next week! The full results are attached!
There are a few kids missing their team t-shirts after last night, so if you could please check the ones you have to see if there is a name written on the tag that isn’t yours, we would appreciate it! We know they get mixed up!
We had swimmers dropping seconds upon seconds in so many races. It is difficult to keep dropping time, especially a lot of time, as it gets harder and harder the faster you get. Our biggest “loser” of the meet is John Henry Russell! John Henry dropped 19 seconds in his 25 free!! Violet Bell was a close second as she dropped 18 seconds in her 25 free! Congratulations John Henry and Violet!! Here are our other big “losers”, those who dropped 5+ seconds in one race. Great job!
Beck Ballowe 5 seconds in 25 free
Evie Ballowe 6 seconds in 25 free
Will Bykat 6 seconds in 25 free
Presley Campbell 6 seconds in 25 back
Sarah Hyatt Chappell 6 seconds in 25 fly
Jordan Gewertz 9 seconds in 25 free
Abigail Gilbert 5 seconds in 50 back

Mya Hassler 5 seconds in 50 fly
Libby Homans 5 seconds in 25 free
Tommy Homans 7 seconds in 25 back
Taylor Katz 7 seconds in 50 free
Liam Kincannon 10 seconds in 50 back
Aubrey Lynn 5 seconds in 25 back
Lucy Parker 10 seconds in 25 free
Paul Penn 10 seconds in 50 free
AJ Scalo 5 seconds in 25 free, 14 seconds in 25 back
