Important reminders, meet results, initial RSVP

I'm sorry if you get this twice, but it said "service lost" when it was halfway through sending, so I'm sending again!

Hey guys,
Great meet last night!  Thank you to everyone who pitched in to fill holes, help set up and clean up, etc.  We won the meet 439-360!  The other team had a lot of really good swimmers, and we were missing a lot of kids, so this was really amazing that we racked up this much of a lead.  There are more results below, after the reminders and RSVP!

IMPORTANT REMINDERS

PRACTICES
If you can attend morning practice, we ask that you come then.  We really need to leave afternoon practices for those that are in camps and cannot attend in the morning.  For example, we had 10 6&unders in 1 lane on Monday night, and we just can't give them the attention they need with this many kids.  We will continue to do our best with all age groups in the evening, but we are begging that if you can come in the morning that you do.  Also, if you come in the morning, please don't come in the afternoon too...we just have too many people for this.  Thanks!

ASA CHAMPIONSHIP MEET
The deadline to sign up is next week, June 21.  We had 62 kids go last year, and I would love to beat that this year.  So far I have 4 forms/checks turned in.  I know many more of you are going, so don't forget to turn in your things!

PARKING
Please make sure not to park on people's grass at swim meets...thanks!

RSVP
As a reminder, I really need to know by the Friday before the meet if you will be missing the meet.  I know illnesses come up, and that obviously can't be known in advance, but if you are going on vacation, please please please let me know if you won't be at the meet.  We had 7 people not show up and/or cancel less than 24 hours from the meet.  Besides affecting me and the time it takes me to do the lineup, it really isn't fair to the other kids.  I try to get as many kids in relays as I can, having kids swim up in age groups, etc. to make sure everyone gets as many relays as possible, so when you pull one swimmer out, it's truly a domino effect and others don't get to swim because of it.  Thank you!

MILL GLEN MEET RESULTS

Again, great job last night!  The full results are attached, and I corrected everything that I saw.  If you think there is an error, please let me know.  I can't believe the weather was as good as it was, and I think that was a sign of things to come.  There were so many kids cheering for each other, asking me who was swimming so they could cheer them on by name, helping each other out...it was great to see.  The girls knew that they really needed to push it since we were missing so many boys, and they definitely did.  The boys who were there swam their hearts out as well.  Rees Viersen and Charley Plumly swam in every event...thank you!  Nellie Parker jumped in last minute and did the 100 IM...thank you!  Our biggest "loser" of the meet is Julia Rutledge!  Julia went 22 seconds faster in her 100 IM than the last time she swam it, which was last season.  Awesome job Julia!

Here are others who dropped 5+ seconds in an event. We had MANY more who dropped 1, 2, and 3 seconds as well.  This list is still long for how far into the season we are!  I do want to let people know that if their children are adding time, sometimes that happens when they are learning the strokes and changing their technique.  We want them to learn to do the strokes correctly, and at first it may slow them down, so don't get nervous if you see that happening!
