Meet Results, Championships, Team Party

Hi,

Congratulations to all of you and your kids on an undefeated season!  We won 464-333!!  It was another meter pool, and our kids did great swimming the longer distance for the second week in a row.  They had some great swimmers, but we came out on top!  I have details below from the meet, and also details for tomorrow (for those swimming) and the team party.  And P.S. I can't believe we have already finished our dual meets and are talking about the team party!

ASA CHAMPIONSHIPS

Warm-ups are at 12:50, so please plan to have your child on deck by 12:30.  I don't know if they will allow parents on deck to bring the kids, so if they don't, we will have a coach at the door to bring them to the right place.  We have practice tonight for those that did not come this morning, and it is 5:30-6:30 for all age groups as there are only a few who are coming.  If possible, please have your children go to bed early and rest today/in the morning.  I told them to drink lots of water, so please encourage that also!  Thanks!

Thanks to those that have volunteered already for the meet!  Here is the schedule that I have.  (Molly Parker-I have you down as a reliever for girls bullpen)

  SHIFT 1 SHIFT 2
Girls' pool timer 1 Tina Lowe Mariana Brashear
Girls' pool timer 2 Elizabeth Satterfield Kat Griffith
Girls' bullpen Melissa O'Connell Ashley Giardino
Boys' pool timer 1 Anne Duhig
Boys' pool timer 2 Mary Ellen Evangelista Paige Zaparaniuk

TEAM PARTY

Just a reminder that the team party is this Thursday, June 25, 5-7PM at Mark Trail.  Here is the link to RSVP http://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c0948a4ab22a02-wavemakers2.

MEET WRITE-UP

I am so proud of how the kids swam.  Many of our kids who aren't used to being beaten were in tight races and even lost a few, but they bounced back and kept trying their best.  This is a true testament to their mental strength and competitive spirit!  We had a lot of best times (again!), and everyone I asked said that they had fun, so definitely a successful meet!  The results are attached.  I listed all 1st places in the whole event below, and I listed all swimmers who dropped 5+ seconds in an event.  I really can't believe how long this list is at this point in the season!!  Our biggest loser of the meet is Fisher Burt who dropped 19 seconds in 25 fly!  I also wanted to recognize Liam Kincannon who swam in the 11-12 free relay (as a 10 year old) and when he found out one of the boys wasn't there, so we only had 3, he said "Can I swim twice?".  So he went first and last!!
