MOUNTAIRE MEET

Oh my gosh...what a meet last night!  The final score was Wavemakers 240 - Barracudas 232!  They have had 10 undefeated seasons in a row, so this win is HUGE.  Over half of our team wasn't even born yet the last time they lost a meet!  It really took everyone swimming their best to pull off this amazing victory.  The Barracudas head coach had nothing but good things to say about our team and how much we've improved..."You guys are REALLY good", was his quote before he even knew we won.  Congratulations!  Mountaire is having issues sending me the file with the results, so I will send that as soon as I get it.  It was a meters pool (sorry I forgot to email that out earlier!), so if you noticed your child's times were "slower" it was because they were swimming a longer distance!

 

MEET REMINDERS

First, we had only 1 swimmer not come to the meet and not tell me ahead of time...this is awesome!  I would love for it to be 0, but we're getting closer!  A few reminders:

• Please arrive by 5PM, and if you can't due to work, etc., please email Coach Julie so she knows when you are able to arrive.
• Swimmers need to stay in the team area (unless they are with a group watching/cheering for their teammates and have let the bullpen parent know).
• Before taking your child from the meet, please make sure they do not have another event.  If you are unsure, please check with Coach Julie.

WHO IS OUT ON TUESDAY?

We are missing all but 1 of our 11-12 boys and all of our 13-14 boys, so if you know any members of Mark Trail or Princeton Square that are this age and would be willing to swim on Tuesday night, please let Coach Julie know.

JUNIORS VS. 6&UNDERS

There has been some confusion about who is a junior/what is a junior.  A junior is a swimmer who is 6 or younger and is not ready to swim in meets, meaning he/she can't swim the length of the pool without the help of a coach.  Many of the swimmers who started out as juniors have joined the regular 6&under group (the group that does swim in the meet).  I know it's confusing because both groups of kids practice together, but they are 2 separate groups.  Below is the list of swimmers who I have as being juniors.  If your child is on this list and you think he/she is ready to swim in a meet, please email Coach Julie to discuss it.  If your child is not on this list and you think he/she should be, please email Coach Julie.
